This Modern mountain home is designed keeping site topography in mind and blends perfectly with the terrain flow surrounded by dense forest.
Casa Pascolo occupies the top of a steep bluff overlooking Himalayan ranges. The long two level building sits parallel to the bluff, allowing all rooms to take advantage of the spectacular views into the woods and mountains. The two floor plan of Casa Pascolo features an open floor plan and is punctured by two large openings featuring wide custom sliding mahogany and glass doors that serve as view corridors through the opaque building volume, framing the panorama of the mountains roll as one approaches the house.
The outdoor features a large wooden/slate deck with a fire place(pit) and a bar-be-que to cook and enjoy a lazy evening with friends and family
Deep vertical battens organize the exterior façade, establishing a rigorous vertical rhythm thereby transforming Casa Pascolo into an undulating yet highly structured canvas for the shadows of the surrounding trees.
At night, the clerestory becomes a glowing beacon visible from the distant, illuminating the courtyard and the surrounding natural landscape as the iconic address sign for the residence.
Planned in two levels, Casa Pascolo is designed as family retreat with a living room for friends and family to gather after a day of hiking through the forest featuring a local quarried stone fire place, custom windows and doors framed by exposed timbers and steel bring in the natural light to blend the indoor and outdoor living areas.
Casa Pascolo is being designed with five bedrooms including two master bedrooms, a junior master, a guest and kids room. The whole space is organized around a burning fireplace, which is surely a hotspot of this home.
Interiors have an earthy yet modern aesthetic, thanks to the massive wood-framed window walls on either side, polished stone and wooden and stone floors.
